Recalling and Inheriting the Charming of the Song Dynasty, Seeking Dreams and Blossoming at the Hometown of the Overseas Chinese——The Art Life of Mr. Deng Zhenling, Genre Painting Artist of the Zhongshan

Abstract: Deng Zhenling is a famous local genre painting artist of the Zhongshan, learning painting from his father since childhood, seeking teachers from everywhere and mastering on the skill of“scattered perspective”of the traditional Chinese painting. He had been working on cultural propaganda for 15 years in the army, and then transfered to the Kaifeng of Henan Province, studying the Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival, where the strong cultural atmosphere of the Song Dynasty in Kaifeng nourished Mr. Deng's cultural temperament. Rooting himself among the people deeply, Mr. Deng collected materials and worked hardly after transferring from Kaifeng to his homeland Zhongshan, drawing Recalling the Old Times at Hometown and Going to Fair on the End of the Year which were both collected by the Zhongshan City Museum and the Zhongshan Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum. The genre paintings of Mr. Deng Zhenling, which are active and flowing, exquisite and luxuriant, vivid and pure, undertake the art mission from history to future, from transition to mind and from life to art.
