Foreword

This code is developed by Sinopec Engineering Incorporation in cooperation with other involved organizations based on the requirements of Document JIANBIAO〔2008〕No.105 issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development-"Notice on the Development and Revision Plan of National Engineering Construction Standards（2nd Group）in 2008".

In preparing this code，the working team developed the code based on wide and extensive investigations and studies made，practices summarized，comments requested as well as references to international codes and standards.

This code comprises 15 chapters，and mainly includes General provisions，Terminologies and abbreviations，Safety life cycle，Safety integrity level，General Requirements for Design，Sensors，Final elements，Logic solvers，Communication interfaces，Human machine interfaces，Application software，Engineering design，Configuration，integration and commissioning，acceptance testing，Operation and maintenance，Management of changes，Documentation management etc.

The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People s Republic of China is in charge of administration of this code，China Petrochemical Corporation（Sinopec Group）is responsible for its routine management，and Sinopec Engineering Incorporation is tasked for explanation of specific technical contents.If any comments and recommendations are proposed in implementation，please send your comments/recommendations to Sinopec Engineering Incorporation（Address:21 Anyuan，Anhui Bei Li，Chaoyang District，Beijing，Postcode:100101）as a reference for revising this code in the future.
