4　General

4.1　Unless otherwise specified,in the case of new equipment,couplings and guards will normally be supplied as part of the machine package by the manufacturer/vendor having assume the overall"unit responsibility",usually the manufacturer/vendor is the driven machine vendor(refer as purchaser).Coupling manufacturer(refer as vendor)has the responsibility to supply technical support to purchaser for their technical calculations and coordination between purchaser and vendors.

4.2　Equipment and technical documents and diagram notes supplied by vendor should be SI units and should be in accordance with ISO standard.Vendor should give technical performance insurance literally in the proposal.

4.3　The vendor may offer the alternative designs in favor of relevant parties(purchaser/vendor)based on technical and commercial consideration.The alternative designs proposed by the vendor shall include detailed technical description,track records,and applicable standards and codes.The purchaser will evaluate any alternative designs proposed by the vendor,and decide whether to adopt.
