This specification is established as arranged by the Notice on Printing and Distributing of Revision Plan of Electric Power Industry Standards in 2006 issued by the General Office of National Development and Reform Commission（Fagaibangongye［2006］No.1093）.It deals with the construction and acceptance of the electrical equipments installed at ultra-high voltage（±800kV）and below DC converter stations.

The bases for establishing this specification include the existing specifications for the construction and acceptance of high voltage electrical equipment，the engineering design，construction，operation，and the product manuals of±500 kV converter station，as well as the engineering design research and equipment research & development data of±800 kV converter stations.

This specification acts as the basis for performing construction and acceptance of installation works of±800kV and below DC converter stations.

This specification is proposed by China Electricity Council.

This specification is interpreted by and under the jurisdiction of the Technical Committee of Standardization for HVDC Power Transmission.

The specification was mainly drafted by Xiao Anquan，Xiang Yuhua，Chong Zhiyi，Huang Jie，Lu Yan，Chen Wenshou，and Zhang Cheng，who organized by the DC Transmission Project Construction Co.，Ltd.of the State Grid Corporation of China，and the Extra-High Voltage Transmission Company of the China Southern Power Grid Co.，Ltd.
