15.2 General Items

15.2.1 The model of the power cable, control cable and signal cable to be laid by fixing must be in accordance with design requirements.

1 The clearance between the high and low voltage cables which are laid on the same side of the shaft or roadway should not be less than 0.1m;the clearance between high-voltage cables and between lowvoltage cables should not be lower than 50mm.

2 The power cable should not be laid on the same side of the roadway as the telephone and signal cables, and nor fixed on the same cable clamp. If they have to be laid on the same side, the power cable shall be laid under the telephone and signal cables keeping a clearance not less than 0.1m with them;if they are laid in parallel, the clearance shall be more than 0.3m.

3 The cable to be laid not by fixing shall be rubber-sheathed cable for mining purposes if there are no design requirements. Its grounding core wire shall not serve other purposes at the same time.

4 Where the power cables of different circuits from ground to the main transformer station(power distribution substation)in the shaft are laid in parallel shaft or roadway, the clearance between them shall not be less than 0.3m and they shall not be laid on the same bracket in vertical shaft.

15.2.2 Where the cable is laid in the drift or inclined shaft with the inclination of 45°and below, the cable hanging position shall be in accordance with design requirements;if there are no such requirements, the position shall be at such a height that the cable will not be hit when the tramcar is off road and that it shall not drop on the tramcar track or conveyor when it dropping.Heavy load cable shall be suspended on the tope of roadway or shaft with the clearance between hanging points not more than 3m.

15.2.3 The laying of cables in vertical shaft or inclined shaft with an inclination of 45° or above shall be in accordance with the following requirements:

1 The masonry arch works for shaft, shaft wall and shaft station shall have been all completed prior to cabling.

2 The hand winch or low-speed electric winch should be used for cabling, then winches shall have reliable braking and backstop device, and be securely fastened. The cable shall be bound together with steel wire rope loosely without any tensile, with the spacing not more than 3m between adjacent colligation points. The safety factor of the steel-wire rope shall not be less than 5 times, and the diameter of the guide wheel shall not be lower than 15 times cable diameter;the speed for releasing the cable should not be more than 15m/min.

3 Structure and installation of cable bearer:the upper plane of the steel angle cable bearer installed in inclined shaft shall fit the angle of the shaft. The deviation between the upper and lower cable bearers shall not be more than±10mm in the shaft and the location shall be in accordance with design requirements. If no such requirements, they shall be installed within 4m from the pithead with the spacing of 0.5m.Within the shaft, the spacing between cable bearers shall not be more than 6m and that between the fixing points within inclined shaft shall not be more than 3m.

4 The locations for laying cables shall be in accordance with design requirements. If no such requirements, the cable shall not be laid on the cage unloading side and shall be laid on both sides of ladder compartment. If the cable will be laid on the shaft wall, conduit or other protection measures shall be taken.

5 The cable shall be fixed from bottom to top without exposure to any tensile;it shall be fastened on the bearer properly, and a length of 1 to 1.5m shall be reserved at the pithead.

6 The cable intermediate joint shall be avoided in the shaft body.If it is unavoidable, the intermediate joint shall be located in the intermediate drift way or niche/chamber specially made in the shaft wall.An extra length of cable shall be reserved.

15.2.4 In the inclined shaft or roadway with metal or wood support the cables shall be fixed flexibly and shall not be hung on air or water pipe. When laid parallel with air or water pipe, the cable shall be above the pipe with the minimum clearance of 0.3m.Only when laid in the inclined shaft and roadway with concrete or bricked masonry arch or hard-rock,can the cables be fixed rigidly and the fasteners shall be arranged in order.

15.2.5 The protecting tube shall be used at the point where the cable enters the roadway, chamber or wall and pipe orifice shall be sealed. At the bend of cable, metal materials shall be used for protection. When the cable with an outer jute serving passes through the wood-supported roadway or chamber, the jute serving shall be stripped off and anti-corrosive treatment shall be done to the cable.

15.2.6 The cable laid in the roadway and inclined shaft should not be tensioned.Signs shall be hung at intervals and branching points to indicate the number, use and voltage, etc.

15.2.7 Where the cable needs to be laid along ground surface at some sections, iron plate or other noncombustible materials shall be used to cover the cable, but the cable shall not be laid in the drainage ditch.

15.2.8 When laying cable in drill hole, cable sleeve shall be laid in the drill hole beforehand. The cable shall be fixed securely with the steel wire rope and laid down to the shaft through the sleeve. At the upper and lower parts, the cable shall be fixed on special devices and the steel wire rope shall be coated with steel wire oil.A part of sleeve shall be left 0.5-1.0mm above the ground and which shall be concreted leaving the orifice covered with a plate to prevent water from getting in.
