Question 22: How to manage newborns delivered by pregnant women with suspected and confirmed COVID-19?
For neonates delivered by pregnant women with suspected COVlD-19, if evaluated as in general good condition, they should be immediately transferred to the neonatal isolation ward for observation; the neonate can be discharged from the isolation ward or transferred for home care if nucleic acid tested negative twice in a row.
Neonates delivered by pregnant women with confirmed COVlD-19 should be observed in the isolation ward for at least 14 days.
