Jackson：I have no idea what I will do when I graduate.

Hayley：That depends on your dream.

Jackson：I majored in journalism but I don’t want to be a journalist.

Hayley：Why not study abroad？The overseas experience will enrich your life.

Jackson：Studying abroad and stepping outside of my comfort zone can be scary.I can’t imagine how I can survive without my mother around.

Hayley：Jackson，you are old enough to live on your own.

Jackson：I hope so，but I just can’t.

Hayley：You need to have a plan for your own life.Why not go after your passion for writing？You’ve told me that to be a writer is your dream.

Jackson：Maybe I’ll consider that.

Dialogue B　I Want a Break

（At Kevin’s home）

Fiona：How are you doing，Kevin？

Kevin：To be honest，I’m really fed up with work at the moment.I want a break！

Fiona：Are you free this weekend？

Kevin：I have to work on Saturday all day！I really hate my job！

Fiona：Then are you available on Sunday？

Kevin：Yes，that’s my only day off a week.

Fiona：Well，my friends and I are going to the beach on Sunday.We tend to leave around noon.Do you want to come with us？

Kevin：That’ll be fantastic！I can’t wait！It sounds like we’re going to have a great time.

Fiona：Be sure thing！

Monologue A　Dreams and Hopes

Each step we’ve made in our growth is based on dreams and hopes.When I was young，I dreamed of having endless candies.Then I hoped I could study in a college.This dream came true and now I am here.There dreams and hopes still remain.I wonder what the future holds for me.

I tell myself to make my dreams and hopes clear：this is my near future，and all starts here.I will learn to be a man，who has a healthy body，independent thought and an open mind.I will learn to be a man who can undertake responsibility and challenges.Dreams and hopes can bring us a bright future.Thus，let’s make up our minds，stick to our dreams and surely we’ll enjoy our life.

Monologue B　How Can Dreams Come True

We always talk about the power of dream.We say that dream can be the light which leads us to the wonderland，the happy life and the unknown shore.Where there are dreams，there is progress.To accomplish progress，we must have dreams.But dreaming alone isn’t enough.We must have faith in our dreams and know our dreams clearly.Moreover，it is not easy to make our dreams into reality.We need mental food to feed our mind—confidence，courage，knowledge，and direction，which can help you succeed in accomplishing your dreams.Most important，we must act.Without action，even the most grand dreams will vanish into thin air.
