Abstract
This book integrates theory with practice, and makes a systematic dem onstration of basic theories, institutions and knowledge of civil law.It grounds on existing civil laws and regulations of China, such as General Principles of the Civil Law, Jus in Rem Law, Contract Law, Law of Succession, Tort Lia bility Law, combining closely with the judicial interpretations of the Supreme People's Court.It uses legislative and a judicative experiences on civil law in other countries and Taiwan District for reference, absorbs recent theoretical findings by both domestic and foreign academia in civil law.The authors make every effort to describe existing civil law legislation comprehensively and accurately, and to make the structure of the book and theoretical analy ses updated to the new century.
Instead of rigidly adhering to the detail of the current civil law legislation, the authors make necessary generalization, adjustment and complements in contents, as well as in structure. The book comprises 43 chapters in six parts, namely, Pandect, Jus in rem, Jus ad rem(creditor’s rights),Rights of Inheritance, Personal Rights, and Torts.
